Château d’Armailhac – 1991

Château d’Armailhac – 1991

Climatic conditions

A cold winter was followed by a mild spring which encouraged early growth of the vine.

A frost on 21 April caused considerable damage but Château Mouton Rothschild, Château d’Armailhac and Château Clerc Milon were spared thanks to their favourable situation.

The crop matured well in a fine, hot summer and the harvest began under excellent conditions.

Tasting notes

The wine has an attractive colour with a brickish tint and a nose that opens on aromas of leather, spices and cedarwood. Elegant, it offers well-integrated, substantial tannins and remains surprisingly fresh.
